Ingredients

  • 2 sleeves of Saltine crackers

  • 1 cup unsalted butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 ½ Chocolate Chips

  • 1 ½ cup Roca

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°

  2. Line sheet pan with aluminum foil making sure to tuck in corners spraying with cooking spray

  3. Place whole saltine crackers on sheet pan to fill the sheet without overlapping

  4. In a saucepan, melt butter and sugar over medium heat. Once the butter is completely melted, turn up the heat. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Continue cooking until bubbles form in the middle and edges.Cook for around 3 minutes.

  5. Quickly pour caramel over crackers, spreading evenly.

  6. Place in oven for 5 minutes

  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over caramel. Let sit until the chocolate chips turn glossy and shiny, about 3 minutes. Spread over caramel.

  8. Sprinkle Roca topping over chocolate and let krakeroca sit for about 10-15 minutes to cool down. Then place in the refrigerator for several hours.

  9. Remove from the refrigerator. Using the foil, lift and crack the Krackeroca.
