Fresh Local Butter
Almond Roca is made with fresh local butter! All of our butter comes from local dairies and co-ops who sell to diaries. Our largest supplier is Darigold.
The Darigold headquarters are located in Seattle, Washington and their milk is locally sourced from Northwest farmers, and never from cows treated with the artificial growth hormone rbST. Their butter is made from two simple ingredients, cream (milk) and salt!
Farm fresh local butter is a great alternative to many vegetable oils and fats that are often heavily processed. By opting for local butter, it ensures freshness and reduces the risk of contamination due to fewer steps in production and transportation. Additionally, by choosing local butter we are supporting our community and local dairy farmers!
Artisan-Roasted Coffee
At Brown & Haley, we are committed to using premium ingredients in our products, like the artisan coffee used in our Mocha Roca!
We source our premium coffee beans from either Brazil or Columbia, and then they are roasted here in Washington State.
Artisan coffee refers to a specific approach to coffee production that is dedicated to the highest quality at each stage of the production process. Quality control is heavily enforced throughout each step, ensuring the smoothest and most delightfully rich coffee beans for our Mocha Roca!
Signature Blend of Cocoa Beans
Our signature blend of cocoa beans creates irresistibly smooth and rich chocolate, guaranteed to leave you craving "just one more bite."
We source our cocoa beans from several locations in West Africa and then process the cocoa here in the U.S.
With the perfect blend it is then coated over our buttercrunch toffee to make for a beautifully crunchy and sweet treat, because premium ingredients make premium chocolate!
California Almonds
Did you know the state of California produces over 80% of the world’s almonds, making them very popular?!
California Almonds are known for their subtle and sweet taste and have a higher protein and vitamin content compared to other varieties of almonds. These almonds are what gives our Classic Almond Roca its signature crunch.
Even though it adds an extra step to our process, we purchase our Almonds whole, as opposed to chopped because this ensures the best quality and flavor!
Tropical Cashew Nuts
Sprinkled into our Cashew ROCA, the tropical cashew nuts we use are sourced from Brazil. Like our Almonds, we purchase them whole to ensure the highest quality and best flavor!
These cashews are the key ingredient in our irresistibly creamy Cashew ROCA, where every bite delivers a smooth, satisfying texture that sets it apart. Whether you're indulging on your own or sharing with others, our Cashew ROCA is sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
Pure Vanilla
Fun fact! We don’t use any artificial or imitation flavors in our confections – which means the vanilla extract that we use is pure!
While many people call it “Vanilla Bean” vanilla actually comes from a species of orchid that only grows in a very small part of the world, right on the island of Madagascar! Every step of the harvesting and production is very labor intensive and often done by hand.
While it’s cheaper and easier to use imitation flavors like vanillin, we aim to use premium ingredients that we can be proud of! The purity of vanilla extract comes from the process of splitting the beans and soaking them in alcohol to extract the rich and warm flavors. Compared to imitation vanilla or vanillin, which is synthetically made in a lab, pure vanilla extract is worth the extra cost for us!
