Hourly Wage: 22.50/HR
About the Position
The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all building facilities, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural elements, are safe, functional, and well-maintained to support manufacturing activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
· Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of building systems, equipment, and facilities to identify issues or needed repairs. Perform scheduled maintenance on machines & building infrastructure. Record and document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
· Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues related to general building maintenance. Respond to maintenance requests and repair orders promptly to minimize downtime. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs.
· Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
· Facilities Upkeep: Repair structural elements of the building, including walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows.
· Assist with installation, setup, or relocation of equipment and machinery as required.
· Lift up to 50lbs. & co-lift up to 100lbs.
· Adhere to food safety rules.
Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Transfer to temporary or project related work.
· Report safety hazards and work with the safety team to implement corrective actions.
· Maintain grounds, including landscaping, walkways, and parking lots.
· Collaborate with other maintenance staff, manufacturing teams, and departments to minimize disruptions.
· Troubleshoot & maintain machine systems.
· Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements

Education:
High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
Related Experience:
2+ years of experience in building or facilities maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Competencies:
· Intermediate mathematic skills.
· Mechanical aptitude.
· Problem-Solving skills.
· Attention to detail.
· Ability to multi-task.

The employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; balance; bend and reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb ladders, sit, stoop, kneel, squat, and/ or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
