Banana ROCA® Rinkie Cake Pops


This award winning recipe features Dark ROCA.

Ingredients

  • 10 Hostess Twinkies (banana flavor snack cakes)

  • 14 Pieces Brown & Haley Dark ROCA (crushed)

  • 4 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 C chocolate chips

  • 2 tsp coconut oil

  • 14 4 inch treat sticks

 

Directions

  1. Chop each Twinkie into 4 pieces and place into bowl of electric mixer. Sprinkle 10 pieces of crushed Dark ROCA and cocoa powder into bowl with chopped twinkies. Mix at medium high speed until combined and dough forms (approximately 30-60 seconds).

  2. Divide mixture into 14 pieces and form each into a 1 1/2 inch ball. Place balls onto a tray lined with parchment paper.

  3. Meanwhile, prepare dipping chocolate by placing the chocolate chips and coconut oil in top of double broiler. Melt and stir until smooth, then remove from heat.

  4. Dip one end of each treat stick 1/2 inch into melted chocolate then place into cake balls and return to tray. Refrigerate cake balls for 15 minutes.

  5. Place remaining 4 pieces of crushed Dark ROCA on a small plate. Dip cake balls into melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.Then, dip into crushed candy. Place coated balls back onto tray lined with parchment paper. (candy side down, stick side up). Sprinkle with remaining candy onto stick side of cakes.

  6. Return tray to refrigerator to set chocolate for 10 minutes.

  7. ENJOY!
