That’s right, you asked and we are here to answer! We’re turning to our customers for this blog to provide insight on the most frequently asked questions, like where we source our butter, or where can you even find Almond Roca?
1- Where does your “Fresh Local Butter” come from?
All of our butter comes from local dairies and co-ops who sell to diaries. Our largest supplier is Darigold. The Darigold headquarters are located in Seattle, Washington and their milk is locally sourced from Northwest farmers, and never from cows treated with the artificial growth hormone rbST. Their butter is made from two simple ingredients, cream (milk) and salt!
2- Do you ship overseas?
For our worldly Almond Roca lovers, we do not ship overseas or to P.O. boxes, Alaska, or Hawaii. Your best bet is Amazon, or taking a trip to come visit the beautiful PNW to visit our chocolate shops. You’ll have to bring an extra suitcase to load up with our delicious confections!
3- Where can I buy ROCA?
You can find all flavors of ROCA Buttercrunch on our website. All of our ROCA flavors can also be purchased on Amazon or at many retailers across the country. Try checking your local Walmart, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, Costco, or Sam’s Club to find our sweet confections!
4- Do you offer Factory Tours?
While we would love to give a awe-inspiring and colorful willy-wonka-esque tour of our chocolate factory here in Tacoma, Washington, we are no longer able to offer tours. However, you can now get a behind the scenes sneak peek into our factory at our YouTube
5- Where is ROCA made?
We are Tacoma-proud and Tacoma-local! In 1919 Brown and Haley purchased a large shoe factory on East 26th in the city of Tacoma, Washington, and transformed it into their new manufacturing plant where Almond Roca is still made today!
6- Where can I purchase factory mishaps/seconds?
All candy is good candy, and even our “Factory Seconds” are still the most delicious and irresistible! You can purchase our “Factory Seconds” at the Factory Store in Tacoma, Washington, or our Outlet Store in Fife, Washington!
7- What if I have dietary restrictions?
Good news for customers who are Muslim, Jewish, or gluten free! Our Almond Roca is Halal friendly, Kosher, and gluten free! We also have nut free options that include our Roca Bars for those with nut allergies.
8- Are mountain bars still around and where can I find them?
Yes, our beloved mountain bars still exist in the lovely flavors, peanut butter, cherry, and vanilla! You can find them on our website, or at our Factory or Outlet stores!
9- What happened to the Peppermint Roca?
Our Peppermint Roca is a very beloved seasonal flavor that we release around the holidays. Don’t worry, it’ll make its yearly holiday appearance, however if you’re craving a peppermint chocolate indulgence during the summer or fall, you can always check Amazon for a canister!
10- How many locations do you have?
We have two locations, one being our Almond Roca Factory in Tacoma, Washington, and the other is our Outlet Store in Fife, Washington! If you’re a Washingtonian, visiting the factory is a must-do! However if you’re an out-of-towner, we hope you’d come and visit the beautiful PNW and come try some Almond Roca!
